At least it allows me to access a shell on my NAS without booting a PC, but it could be improved bringing some often used shell chars (like *,|,<,>) into a quicker accessible additional keyboard. It also didnt find my NAS via DNS for what reason ever.
This app isnt just a cute little toy for opening up a shell on a remote host somewhere, its a robust tool for real-world, production administration. An illness in my family has kept me locked in the hospital away from my desk for weeks without a laptop. But this app and my iPad have kept me connected to the several dozen remote hosts I administer, including a bare-metal recovery scenario. SSH Term Pro is solely responsible for making a toy into a tool that I no longer want to do without, and I have been able to stay productive and cover my responsibilities even under very difficult circumstances. Outstanding work! Andy
Macht was es soll.
Dont buy - waste of money. Crashed twice in 5min usage. Also strange scrolling behavior.
No more to say.
I rate very little but this is just a top app!!!
Best ssh client I have seen so far. Crashes in landscape mode and needs some adaptation to iOS 8. That aside its fast and convenient.
Very good
Each and every version of this app that I tried to use has crashed very frequently, especially when doing "heavy lifting", like, using less or, maybe, a fullscreen editor. The current version manages to freeze the whole iPad for several seconds upon resuming the app from the background, and then crashes. UPDATE: Now it stopped working completely and wont connect to any host at all. 1 star.
... if it would be stable. First of all it cuts all open connections when you switch to another app. As soon as you return back to it, it freezes the iPad for a few seconds until the app crashes.
It do, what you need.
Not compatible with iPad Pro 9.7 & iPad Pro 12.9 (12 months on the market!!) resolution. NEEDS TO BE UPDATED URGENTLY.
What is there to say about SSH? This app inexpensively performs every task you would want in a command-line SSH interface, and does so in efficient manner. I especially like how some of the major keys normally missing from the iPad keyboard are present on top for easy access (CTRL, TAB, etc). If you need to connect to remote systems but dont need VNC support, get this app.
By nature, an SSH console is not flashy or sexy, so any app of its kind must do the job flawlessly first and foremost. If it manages to do its task in a very elegant and intuitive iPhone way, it is even better. SSH Term Pro does both and allows quick and easy SSH connection without hassles... provided one knows what is SSH and how to use the terminal I guess !
If not for the semi-frequent crashes, this program would deserve 5 stars. Running it for 15 minutes, in my experience, its very likely to crash in that time period.
Works well, decent hotkeys. Missing copy and paste, and mutiple active sessions.
I installed it and didnt work. Just exited when I tried to connect.
I have paired this app with iRepoEdit and have successfully been doing serious development work from my iPad thanks to some clever svn hooks. The iPad version is awesome and vim works very well. The iPhone version needs work but isnt bad given the limited screen space
It works but when I need a huge output it fails all the time (on iPhone). Copypasting could be much better. Needs some work to justify its price. iSSH is not that much more expensive as it is better.
